I run this website, although I haven't done anything to it in years.
I am a programmer, and I had plans of writting a genealogy website that could have many people allowed to change the database. It seemed like a good idea, to have a central database that was available to all. But two problems have come up, I don't have the time to invest right now. The second that I have recieved a few emails about their name being on this site.
To me, it doesn't bother me to have this information out there, there is far more information available through online public records that could be used in a negative way.
Perhaps in the future I will just write a site that requires log in's, and those who have log in's will be able to manipulate the data. So my question is, are there people out there that would actually use this if I were to write it? |
